About Lillie Nadeau

Hi! I'm Lillie, and I'm so glad that you're interested in some of my latest work!  Here, you'll not only find summaries of some of my longer projects, but also a collection of my writing, from essays, to fiction short stories, and everything in between. I love to explore Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, and History in my work, and I hope that you find something that you can connect with like I do.

y studies in Classical Civ. inform a lot of my writing, as I love to explore lasting themes and elements of Ancient Myth that are still relevant and powerful today.  I also use my experiences as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community to tell the stories I missed out on as a kid, in the hopes that someone else might find what they need most.

I grew up in Cambridge, ON, Canada, where I stayed for all of elementary and high school.  Despite going to University of Toronto Mississauga for my Bachelor's Degree, I still live and work in my hometown.  In addition to writing, I love to work in film, pursuing both personal projects and freelance jobs.

You can find a portfolio of my writing below where I update regularly with short stories, poetry, and essays.

"BACCHAE"

"Bacchae" is a found footage style horror adaptation of the Euripides' play of the same name.  This short film, which I am screenwriting for in collaboration with art director Olive Pitschner and producer Sarah Franzoi, takes an ancient classic and retells it for a modern audience.  The aim has been to tell a story for today's world, while maintaining the classical and timeless themes of the original play, and its accompanying myths.

"RIPPED AT THE S.E.A.M."

My first full length manuscript, Ripped at the S.E.A.M. is a Science Fiction novel that follows the story of Alix McKay, as she realizes that she has to power to tap into alternate realities through tears in the fabric of space.  Recruited by the Surveillance and Eradication of Anomalies in the Multiverse, or S.E.A.M., she discovers that nothing around is hat it seems, in this world or the next.

This manuscript is currently under review by multiple publishers, and new interest in the project is always welcome.
